Every measurement here is reproducible — that is the point, and it means today's table is not, on its own, worth anything a stranger could not rebuild. What cannot be rebuilt is yesterday. A gate that was enforcing before an upgrade, a registry that quietly went to zero: the only way to know is to have been watching. This archive begins on the day it began, and no later start can reach back.

Why append-only matters here

An archive that can be edited is a claim about the past, not a record of it. So nothing in register/history/index.jsonl is ever rewritten or removed. A correction is a new record placed after the thing it corrects, and both remain readable. Every snapshot body is stored under the sha256 of its own content, so a day where nothing moved costs nothing to keep, and any tampering changes the address.
